Does your student spend hours drawing on their iPad or android tablet? In "Meet The Masters...With a Digital Twist" we will harness that curiosity and passion and use it to interact with the great masters of art history. **This class assumes an understanding of whatever digital app your student works in! I will not be teaching the apps in this class, rather USING the apps to explore art history through the various mediums and methods they provide** if your student needs to learn how to use Procreate, please see my Intro series before enrolling in the "Meet The Masters" classes! Through the five weeks of our study of Georges Seurat we will: Week 1- We will explore pointillism from Seurat's perspective. A short video will be made available before class to introduce student's to this art style and to the artist. With a new brush provided, we will push the limits of digital art with combining color and texture. Homework: "The Island of the Grand Jatte" Week 2- Impressionist took the science of light to new levels through their work, shifting paradigms in the art world. We will examine shading in "Island of Grand Jatte" with a hands on activity. Homework: Finish classwork, extra videos provided Week 3- We will examine the capturing of light through pointillism through "Bathers on Asnieres".Homework: Finish classwork plus compare and contrast the two paintings we have been working with through provided worksheet. Week 4- Value Scales overview Homework: Complete class work, reference picture + outline Week 5- Create final project: Pointillism style coral reef fish. Students will further enhance their digital skillsets, while learning color theory, perspective and tricks Seurat used to create values of color and light through pointillism. **This class assumes an understanding of whatever digital app your student works in! Cancellation Policy

Full refund if you withdraw from a class within 24 hours of payment, including the initial sign-up. This includes 1-on-1 classes, group classes, and weekly enrollment in group classes. You can also receive a refund for your most recent payment if you withdraw within 24 hours of purchase before the first meeting of the payment period. However, you are no longer eligible for a full refund once your first class meeting begins. Stopping your subscription after class begins or after the 24 hour period will stop any future charges, but will not result in a refund of your most recent payment.
