Does your student spend hours drawing on their iPad or android tablet? In "Meet The Masters...With a Digital Twist" we will harness that curiosity and passion and use it to interact with the great masters of art history. **This class assumes an understanding of whatever digital app your student works in! I will not be teaching the apps in this class, rather USING the apps to explore art history through the various mediums and methods they provide** if your student needs to learn how to use Procreate, please see my Intro series before enrolling in the "Meet The Masters" classes! We will explore: Art History - Introduce students to Hundertwasser through biography worksheets. Art Analysis - Have students analyze Hundertwasser's art and understand the importance art plays in shaping a voice for our culture. Production - Have students create weekly inspired work by using what they have learned in this class and making it their own, encouraging their own artistic voice.. Through the eight weeks of our study of Kandinsky and Klimt we will look at the art movements of Abstract Art and Art Nouveau. Weeks 1-4 Wassily Kandinsky- the father of abstract art: Week 1- Using line, shapes and colors to convey a sense of emotion Homework: Students will work on emotion that is assigned randomly Week 2- Using the tools found in digital apps, we will create a composition incorporating patterns Homework: Complete classwork and analyze "Improvisation 31" Week 3- Thumbnail sketches, incorporating music with art Homework: Finish classwork Week 4- The use of line and shape, different ways to add texture through brushes in our apps; Homework: Finish classwork Gustav Klimt Week 5- We will import patterns and images and use these images to "paint" in an Art Nouveau style -using long, curved lines. Homework: "Tree of Life" Week 6- "Portrait of Adele" self portrait Homework: Finish classwork plus analysis worksheet Week7- Drawing the face with correct proportion Homework: self portrait Week 8: "Tree of Life" incorporating all that we have learned with photos, texture, line and pattern. **This class assumes an understanding of whatever digital app your student works in! Cancellation Policy

Full refund if you withdraw from a class within 24 hours of payment, including the initial sign-up. This includes 1-on-1 classes, group classes, and weekly enrollment in group classes. You can also receive a refund for your most recent payment if you withdraw within 24 hours of purchase before the first meeting of the payment period. However, you are no longer eligible for a full refund once your first class meeting begins. Stopping your subscription after class begins or after the 24 hour period will stop any future charges, but will not result in a refund of your most recent payment.
